Egg Boxes

This is my original product that I started with. It looks great in any kitchen. Eggs don't like being in the fridge, so give them a nice place to stay.  Also to consider, is which side you want the door to open from, left or right. I make for both sides. When we first started we did not have the "Eggs" badge on the boxes and people used to think they were spice racks. We put an end to that.

Our Egg Boxes are available in three colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey.  You have a choice of two sizes: 12's or 18's.

Pricing: R 190.00 for the 12 seater or R 240.00 for the 18 seater.

Prices exclude post and packaging.

Bread bins

My bread bins were inspired by a teacher at my sons school who aked me if I could make her one. I thought this to be a good idea and took on the challenge. The beauty of my bread bins is that the lid doubles as a cutting board. There is enough space inside for 2 loaves of bread and a 1/2 dozen rolls on top of the loaves.

The boxes are all finished with hand made pewter sign reading "Bread", just in case you forget what it is you need to put in the bin.

 colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey.

Price: R190.00 excluding post and packing.

Go check out any appliance store and see if you can get a better price on a steel or wooden bread bin.

Jewelry Boxes

The first jewelry boxes I made were the result of not wanting to toss out off cuts that I thought could still be used. The first batch I made were done according to the sizes of the scrap, so no two boxes were the same. The demand for the boxes soon outweighed the scrap on hand, so my current boxes are made from stock wood and some from scrap. The pewter finish is done my wife, Maita. I must admit that there is a heap of work that goes into the pewter, so we have taken a short cut and purchased a Cuttle Bug and we now press out most of our pewter as opposed to doing it by hand. This route is a lot quicker in many ways and we avoid the whole patina and polishing process. the boxes come in three standard sizes: small, medium and large. Who would have thought!!

We can make boxes to custom sizes. I try to make some square and some more rectangular, just creates more variety.

The latch that I use is quite pricey and I hunted for quite some time to find them. They are imported for me from the East. I am happy to pay the price for them, as they are good quality and compliment my boxes.

Colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey.

The standard boxes are: small - R 70.00, medium - R 90.00, Large - R110.00.

Excluding post and packaging.

Trinket Boxes

I need to be honest here. I do not make these boxes myself, however, I do stain, varnish and decorate the boxes. We had a few of these boxes lying around the house, unstained. I took a close look at one and decided to copy the style to make my jewelry boxes. I stained the few that were here and thought they would make great gifts for kids. Since the first few sold liekhot cakes, I decided to include tham in the range.

Colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey.

Price: R 35.00 excluding post and packaging

Mini Bar

I got this idea one day while in a bottle store. There was a lady ahead of me in the queue who was buying a few minature's. She told me that she was planing a night in with her husband and they were going to pretend to be in a hotel for the night, mini bar and all. This gave me the idea of making the mini bar. The idea has been well accepted. I have even had a request to make six that can carry 16 bottles each. I sell the mini bar fully stocked with a variety fo drinks. There are 3 drinks suited to laies and 3 suited to men, kind of "his and hers" concept. The products are: peach schnapps, amarula cream, vodka, brandy, whisky and rum. I am willing to sell the bars with out the contents if requested.

Colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey

Price: R 220.00 including the bottles, excluding post and packaging.

Big Hint

This is a continuation of the idea that I got from the lady in the bottle store. It could be a marriage saver and it is way cheaper than a divorce. Simply leave the "Big Hint" on the bed in the evening and your partner will know exactly what you are in the mood for. Its like fifth gear in foreplay! Each box contains: a condom, an asprin, a bottle of bubble bath, a bottle of body lotion, a blind fold, a candle, a feather, 2 minature amarula's, 2 shot glasses and a candle. What you do with the candle is up to you and so is how you drink the amarula.

Colours: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey.

Price: R 200.00 (not even the rate for a 1/2 hour visit to your lawyer)

Excludes post and packaging

Black Boards

I did a black board for the back of our kitchen door so we can write up our grocery needs. We take a pic of it with the camera on the cell phone. No more worries about a piece of paper that gets lost all the time. My black boards are sized to fit in the gap of a stable door. I even cut a slot to store a piece of chalk.

Colour: Mahogany, Cherry and Honey

Price: R 140.00 excluding post and packaging

Candle Holders

I call them candle holders as they are not candle sticks nor are they candelabra. Just my choice of words really. I had these beams in my workshop for a while nd was planning on making a bed with them. the bed has been put on hold for now as I had an idea to make the candle holders instead. There are 3 types, the first being the cube of 4 shortish lengths. The second is the 4 short stepped and my favourite, the 3 long corner. The wood is recycled Baltic Pine. the size is nice and chunky with each beam measuring 95mm x 95mm

The Cube of 4:

This was the first one that I made. I have added a string wrap on my original that stays in the house with us. I am not sure if I want to put it onto stock, but it is available at no extra cost, should you want it.

This is the look that I am wanting to sell:

Colours: Cherry, Mahogany and Honey.

Price: R 150.00 Excluding post and packaging.

The stepped short 4's:

Just a variation on the one's above, as can be seen below.

Colours: Cherry, Mahogany and Honey.

Price: R 150.00 Excluding post and packaging.

And my favourite, the  3 piece long corner. The beauty with this one is that it will fit snuggly on the corner of a square pillar or on the corner of a wall. Fits even better if you don'thave skirting boards. Adds a nice dimension to a otherwise boring pillar or corner. The longest beam being 107cm long the next 100cm and the shorter of the 3 is 93cm.

Colours: Cherry, Mahogany and Honey.

Price: R 350.00 Excluding post and packaging
